photography

Creativity. Imagination. They are the elusive forces that weave through every day—echoing from the past, resonating in the present, and awakening dreams yet to be revealed. These are my dreams.

Note: The photography on this site is not computer (or AI) generated. I began this style of photography while still studying the medium in college in the early 90s. This was just a few years before digital cameras became available for the mass market and while image editing programs like Photoshop were still in their infancy. But it was obvious where the medium of photography was headed.

Fascinated by the emerging technologies, I approached my artwork to have similar qualities. My intent was to push film-based photography to its absolute limits and set about creating striking images that, to the untrained eye, could easily be misconstrued as computer-generated imagery. In some regards, I also sought to emulate a painterly quality, blending the realms of traditional and contemporary art forms. I sincerely hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

It’s been many years since I have returned to producing this style of photography as I have mainly focused on my career as a graphic designer. Although photographic film is hard to find anymore, I hope to return to this world soon. I can no longer ignore its call.
